One More Thing...

...early in December, one of the ladies from His Kingdom Come contacted me to ask if I'd consider becoming more involved with the site. I was given an idea of what would be required and thought about it very carefully and prayed a lot before responding.

As I've said, commitments aren't easy for me because of what I have going on in the 'real world' (as opposed to online!), and I can't bear to let anybody down or be less than reliable. But I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being led further along on this journey and this opportunity was to be a big part of it. So I took the plunge and applied and have just found out this week that I've been accepted as a Moderator for the His Kingdom Come site, for the Digital Faith Art Group!

It's a little daunting and I'm trying to catch up with what needs doing as fast as I can type lol! But it's so exciting and I have a real feeling of anticipation that this is all leading somewhere I really need to go!

I had a lovely phone call from Mary in the US, who understands completely about being raised within the Catholic faith, and about me now wanting more from my faith...a more personal experience...just MORE! The whole Community at HKC are so lovely and welcoming and kind, and I'm really looking forward to progressing, to knowing what I'm doing, lol, and seeing where this takes me!

During this time I've also joined the Salty Sidewalks Group at HKC (have a look here!). It's a Community Outreach Project - but International!! I love this idea! Creating my first piece for that inspired me to make other pieces...also taking inspiration from the Themed Thursday Challenge at Hummie's World (go here to find it!)...they're what I'm calling my 'Inspired' Art. For each piece I sat down and prayed before starting for my hands to be led...and these are what came out! Again, with each piece there were times during the creation that effects appeared that I definitely was not expecting and were just what the piece needed! Love it!

My First piece for Salty Sidewalks. Saw these words and loved them!

My First 'Inspired' piece - using words from the last verse of O Holy Night (so rarely heard).

  2. These are incredible and thanks for sharing your beautiful story. I look forward to growing with you at his kingdom come! By the way, those words from O Holy Night hit me hard this year, as if I'd never heard them before! All oppression will cease in His name and chains shall he break....wow, so powerful!

    1. yup I had the same experience! I went to a Carol 'Concert' in London put on by Hillsong London - I call it a 'concert' but it was at Wembley and there were 9000 of us there! They performed this song there and it was beautiful! Completely by accident I discovered the very 'concert' we had been at had been filmed and was to be aired on SKY TV, so I recorded it and have had it playing almost constantly all over Christmas! Even this morning my youngest wanted it on before school! x

  6. Welcome Bernie! We are taking this journey together!
I didn't realize you were blogging more. Last I remember you did the Designer Class at Hummie's World and were resisting it! Ah! I'll add it to my Feedly.
    Amazing artwork as always.
