9th December 2017

Luke 1:34-37

And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?”

And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God. And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For nothing will be impossible with God.”

"She says, "This is the way of all flesh."


And Gabriel answers, "But you are about to see the ways of God."


Mary says, "No baby was ever conceived without a man as father."


And Gabriel answers, "This baby's father shall be no man, his father shall be God."


Mary says, "In every child the characteristics of both parents are manifest together."


And Gabriel agrees: "Yes, Jesus will be flesh like you - and like God he will be holy, truly the Son of God."

Advent 2017

8th December 2017

Luke 1:31-33

And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

"So now, the Word. The very first word of the Herald from heaven,announcing the child to come.


Who is he? Who IS this Mercy, soon to be born among us?


Why! He shall be a king! He shall be THE king whom God has promised a thousand years earlier to David - not only a king LIKE David, but a king to fulfill all that David represented. For David was a king bounded by time and space. His reign existed within the history of humankind.


But this King shall gather time and space into his kingdom, and shall himself embrace the history of humankind, for of his kingdom "there will be no end."


David was anointed a son of God. David was adopted: "He said to me, 'You are my son, today I have begotten you.'" (Psalm 2:7). But this one will be BORN "Son of the Most high.""

Take Me Deeper - Advent Day 26 - 24th December 2015

Advent Day 26 - 24th December 2015 - O Holy Night 

I love this music so much and I think it put on a bit of pressure for me for that reason! I wanted the feel of the piece to be just right! 

I created the moon and clouds first and digitally painted that, then added for depth to it with textures and repainted!

The Zoe Project - Artist Statement

Yay I started! My Artist statement on how God sees me!

I sat and found loads of Bible verses that give information on how God sees us and feels about us; to sum those up in one sentence: God truly loves and cares for you.

Then I put this piece together. I had the lady (downloaded from Old Design Shop) on my desktop and she seemed to be crying out to be used as a representation of me! Archetypal tea-drinking English lady, LOL! She was B&W so I removed the white and painted in the colours I wanted!

One of the Bible quotes mentioned us shining like stars in the sky, so this background seemed perfect! Then I used a couple of elements - saying the Time has Come and Time for a Change. I'm feeling my Faith is definitely growing and changing...evolving if you like as I gain in understanding and personal knowledge of Him. Also my art is changing and how I actually create as well. BIG changes!

The bird on the 'twig' of Love represents more words I found in the Bible...from Zephaniah 3:17 - The Lord your God is with you; his power gives you victory. The Lord will take delight in you and in his love he will give you new life. He will sing and be joyful over you.

Then to sum up all the times within the Bible quotes I found the theme of being precious to God, being loved by Him, I used the element saying that I listen to His words and He says I'm beautiful.
